Will these drum funnels fit all 55-gallon drums?
These funnels are designed for standard closed-head 55-gallon and 30-gallon drums with 2" NPT bung openings. They thread securely into the bung for stable, hands-free pouring. They are NOT designed for open-head drums.
What's the difference between the standard funnel and the screened funnel?
Both funnels are the same size (18" Γ 7") and material. The Model 1662 includes a built-in debris screen that filters particulates, paint chips, sediment, and other contaminants during pouring. The screen is removable for easy cleaning. If your application doesn't require filtration, the Model 1660 standard funnel is all you need.
Do I need the snap-on cover?
The cover (Model 1664) is sold separately and highly recommended if your drums are stored outdoors or if you leave the funnel in the bung between filling sessions. It snaps onto both the 1660 and 1662 funnels and keeps rain, dust, and debris out of the drum. The hinged lid opens with one hand for quick access.
What liquids are compatible with these funnels?
HDPE resists oils, fuels, solvents, acids, and most chemicals. For aggressive chemicals, verify HDPE compatibility before use.
