About Fireproof Cabinets for Chemicals, Flammable Liquid, & Fuel Storage

A flammable storage cabinet is a double-walled steel cabinet that protects gas cans, solvents and other flammable liquids from an outside fire and keeps them from feeding one. Our cabinets have 18-gauge welded steel walls with a 1½ in. insulating air space, a 2 in. raised leakproof door sill, two vents with fire baffles and caps, a grounding connection and a 3-point lock. Choose countertop sizes for labs and benches or floor models from 12 to 90 gal for paint shops and plants, with self-closing, manual or sliding doors.

Our fireproof flammable storage cabinets are constructed with double-wall 18-gauge welded steel and 1.5 inches of insulating air space to protect contents from external fire exposure. Available in capacities ranging from 4 to 90 gallons with self-closing, manual, or sliding door configurations. All cabinets feature adjustable shelving, built-in liquid-tight sumps, and grounding connections. Meet OSHA 29 CFR 1910.106 and NFPA Code 30 standards. Uses: Designed for safe storage of flammable liquids, solvents, fuels, and combustible chemicals in manufacturing plants, laboratories, auto shops, and warehouses. Smaller 4- to 12-gallon countertop models work well for laboratory benchtops, while 45- to 90-gallon floor models serve high-volume storage needs in paint shops and chemical processing areas.

Flammable Cabinet Questions

What size flammable cabinet do I need?

Size the cabinet to the total gallons of flammable liquid you store, including the cans inside. We carry 4, 12, 16, 24, 30, 45, 60 and 90 gal cabinets.

Self-closing, manual or sliding doors?

Self-closing doors shut and latch on their own if there's a fire, which many fire codes and inspectors prefer. Manual doors cost less. Sliding doors save aisle space where swinging doors won't fit.

Can I store gas cans in a fireproof cabinet?

Yes. That's what flammable storage cabinets are built for. Store gasoline in approved safety cans inside the cabinet.

Do these cabinets meet OSHA and NFPA?

Yes. They are FM approved and designed to meet OSHA 29 CFR 1910.106 and NFPA 30 for flammable liquid storage.
