What makes the 1-gallon Justrite different from the classic 5-quart?
The 1-gallon Justrite model is taller (30″ vs 24″), holds approximately 50% more butts (~1,500 vs ~1,000), and comes in more color options including Green and Terracotta. It’s manufactured by Justrite, the leading safety container brand. For the smallest entrances, the 5-quart classic saves about $17, while the 4-gallon model handles high-traffic areas.
Are Terracotta and Green colors available in other sizes?
Terracotta and Green are available in the 1-gallon and 4-gallon Justrite models (tie-down and anchor/padlock versions). The 5-quart classic and metal receptacles have a more limited color range. If you need a specific color in a size not shown online, contact us at (800) 869-9633 — additional colors may be available on special order.
Can the 1-gallon receptacle be used indoors?
While primarily designed for outdoor use, the self-extinguishing, FM Approved design makes it safe for covered indoor smoking areas where permitted. The rain-protective head keeps contents dry and the oxygen-restricting neck provides fire safety indoors or outdoors. Ensure your indoor location complies with local smoking regulations.
