Product Overview

The 220V SmartAsh Portable Incinerator is an innovative cyclonic barrel burner designed for international locations and remote operations where 220-volt power is the standard. It uses forced air to create a whirlwind of fire and intense heat inside a standard 55-gallon (208-liter) steel drum (not included), burning approved non-hazardous refuse with minimal smoke, minimal odor, and only 1โ€“3% ash residue.

This self-contained, portable waste destruction system is ideal for military bases, mining camps, disaster relief areas, expedition bases, and remote communities worldwide where conventional waste disposal services are unavailable. Simply load the drum, light the refuse, and clamp on the lid โ€” the SmartAsh creates a cyclonic whirlwind of fire reaching 1,000โ€“1,400ยฐF, efficiently reducing waste volumes on-site.

The SmartAsh burns soiled absorbent materials, paper waste, used oil filters, wood, food waste, oily rags, and waste oil (with optional OilAway attachment). Constructed with a 304 stainless steel lid and powder-coated tubular steel frame, with brass-bearing wheels for easy mobility across job sites.

Warning: Do NOT incinerate plastics, or refuse containing oils with a flash point below 100ยฐF (flammable Class 1 liquids such as alcohol and gasoline). Always contact your local regulatory authority before use.

Frequently Asked Questions

220 Volt SmartAsh Portable Incinerator

What can I burn with the SmartAsh?

The SmartAsh burns all non-hazardous waste including: absorbents (cellulose, polypropylene & cotton mix, saw dust, cotton, corn cobs, peat moss), hydrocarbons (crude oils, used motor oils, lubricating greases, diesel fuels #1 & #2, jet fuels with flash point above 100ยฐF, waste oils), filters (spin-on & cartridge oil filters, air filters, poly & fiberglass filters, natural gas pipeline filters), paper products (newspapers, cardboard, computer paper, office waste, sensitive documents), wood products (saw dust, construction scrap, shipping pallets, tree limbs & leaves), and miscellaneous items (clothing, oily rags, gloves, packaging material, non-hazardous medical waste, linens, wipes, masks). NOT approved for plastics.

Does the price include the drum?

No. The SmartAsh requires a standard 55-gallon, open-head style drum which is not included. These drums are typically easy to source locally. The drum serves as the burn chamber and will need periodic replacement as it degrades from heat exposure.

How hot does the SmartAsh get?

The SmartAsh typically burns at 1,000 to 1,400ยฐF with an average burn rate of 50 lbs per hour. Only 3% ash residue remains after combustion, dramatically reducing waste volume.

What is the difference between the 110V and 220V models?

The only difference is the electrical input. The 110V model plugs into standard US outlets and is ideal for domestic use. The 220V model is designed for locations with 220V power supply, common in international and certain industrial settings. Both models perform identically in burn temperature, capacity, and waste types. Note: the 110V model cannot ship to Alaska.

Can I use the SmartAsh where I live?

Always check with state and local authorities to confirm requirements for use in your jurisdiction. The SmartAsh may not be appropriate for use, or may require special permitting for use, in some jurisdictions.

What applications is the SmartAsh used for?

The SmartAsh is used at mining camps, expeditionary bases, remote communities, police departments, oil spill cleanup operations, ship/rig waste disposal, disaster relief operations, and military bases.

Can the SmartAsh burn plastics?

No. The SmartAsh is not appropriate for use in disposing of plastics. It is designed exclusively for non-hazardous combustible waste.

What kind of drum is needed?

A standard, 55-gallon, open-head style drum. They are typically easy to source locally from industrial supply stores or drum suppliers.
