5-Quart Cigarette Butt Receptacle, Gray Poly

For a smoking area with 10-25 smokers daily, expect to empty weekly. High-traffic areas may require twice-weekly service. The removable galvanized steel bucket lifts out easily for quick maintenance.

Yes. The cone-shaped top forces cigarettes to be extinguished before dropping into the bucket. The polyethylene body and galvanized steel bucket contain smoldering butts safely. Always empty into a fire-safe metal container.

The 5-quart model (15.5" dia x 37.5" high) is for moderate-traffic areas. The 4-gallon model (17.5" dia x 43.5" high) holds 3x more and is better for high-traffic locations with 50+ daily smokers.

The included hold-down tabs secure the top section. For theft prevention, bolt to concrete or weight with sand in the base. Chain or cable can anchor it to a railing or post.

The 5-quart model is designed for smaller entrances, patios, and lower-traffic areas — it holds approximately 1,000 cigarette butts before needing to be emptied. For main building entrances or high-traffic commercial locations, consider upgrading to a 1-gallon or 4-gallon model for less frequent servicing.

Yes. Adding 2–3 inches of sand to the bottom increases weight for wind resistance and also helps extinguish any residual embers. The sand is easy to change during routine servicing. The unit also has integrated hold-down tabs for additional securing options.

Frequency depends on usage. For a small office entrance with a few smokers, emptying once a month may be sufficient. For a busier location, empty weekly. The covered head keeps rain out and prevents odors, so you’ll know it’s time to empty by the fill level, not by smell.
