These inlet filters measure 8ft long by 3in diameter. It is extremely easy and convenient to position alongside channel drains. This channel drain filtering media is made of X-Tex, a durable and long lasting geotextile. On average, trench drain filters absorb 13 times their own weight in liquid hydrocarbons.
X-Tex material is hydrophilic which means it gets wet with water (unlike polypropylene). Its proprietary blend of fibers absorb oil and grease without restricting water flow through the material.
These properties provide high efficiency and excellent flow while trapping sediment and oil contaminants.
Excellent tensile strength means it resists rips, tears and punctures. So it is heavy duty enough to handle vehicle traffic driving over it.

Vehicle traffic across the channel drain filter will not affect its performance. The filter will also not damage the drain grate or vehicle tires.
Regularly inspect the filter to monitor it for oil absorption. Rotate the filter every month for even absorbing. Replace quarterly or as it becomes full.
